Carbonated Soft Drink Line and Bottled Water Line of Akij Food & Beverage Ltd.

Akij Food and Beverage Limited (AFBL) is one of the leading Food and Beverage Manufacturers in the country having a wide range of carbonated beverages, fruit drinks, and other snack items. AFBL envisages extending its manufacturing facility with a total installed capacity of about 83,000 BPH (Bottles Per Hour) for the carbonated beverage line, 90,000 BPH for the drinking water line, and about 500 kg/hour for the snacks line. The total project cost has been estimated at BDT 6,217.78 million. The plant will have a carbonated soft drinks machine, drinking water machine, snacks machine, preform and closure machine, and mould including other machinery and equipment. The products manufactured in the plant will be consumed by external customers and the group itself as well. The project is expected to go into commercial operation by March 2025 for CSD products.

The Carbonated Soft Drinks (CSD) line of the project will be established on purchased land of around 40 acres at Bahubal, Habiganj, Sylhet close to the Dhaka-Sylhet Highway.

To meet the increasing market demand Akij Food and Beverage Limited (AFBL) also intends to install a new water bottling line in the existing AFBL premises at Krishnapur, Dhamrai. The capacity of the new bottling will be 90,000 Bottles/hr. for 500 ml bottle.
